An Awesome Weekend

What a great weekend of showing we have had. Benni and Fleur both brought home some 'fringies', so we have a lot to gloat about. But the highlight has to be my five year old daughter, Lillian, making her Junior Handlers debut.

Yesterday saw the Tasmanian (regional) final for the National Junior Handler Competition. Prior to the event was a Tiny Tots parade. This is for under 7 years and they are accompanied by an adult. Lillian took Fleur in and both young girls did an awesome job. So much so, Lillian wanted to go and to it again today. And apparently the chatter around the ring was that she is clearly going to walk in her mother's footsteps.

The great show ring action happened today. Benni took Best Exhibit in Group 5 at both the champion show (under Mr Rex Lowe) and open show (under Ms Caren Ellis). Fleur also took Best Junior in Group at both events. Benni then went on to win Runner-up Best Exhibit in Show at the open show, under Ms Julie Jenkins. Thank you to all of these local judges who appreciated the quality of both Benni and Fleur.
