A Chilly Day Out

With Fleur in season, Benni and I made a trip to Hobart (2.5 hours away) for a double-header all breeds show on Saturday, hosted by the Working Dog Club of Tasmania.

It was an early (5.30am) and chilly start. The temperature varied between -5 and -7 all the way down the Midlands Highway. It didn't make it much about 5 degrees all day. Our judge from Queensland, Mr Ian Rasmussen, did not look like he was coping at all.

It was a day of mixed results. At the AM show Benni did not progress any further than Best of Breed. But at the PM show, under Mrs L. Niemann (SA), he was pulled out in the final four for Best in Group and awarded Best Australian Bred in Group.

We are now back home to Benni begging for some 'special' time with Fleur!

Sporting the Finnish Lapphund Club of Victoria jacket AND hoodie in an attempt to keep warm.
