2017 so far...
Usually I will post regularly what the dogs have been up to, but given the website is brand new and the year is half over, I have a lot to catch you up on.
After such a long time away from the show ring, it has been awesome to be back. Benni is a dream to show. We are such a team. I love nothing better than the time we are in there together. And for such a late starter, Fleur has also taken to it. She has such spunk!
Benni has spent most of the first half of the year as Tasmania's #3 Working Dog. He is already the all time most successful Finnish Lapphund in the state. This year he has won multiple Best in Groups (Group First) and Runner-up Best in Groups (Group Second). This has been under Australian and International judges, including many Working Dog Specialists. A highlight was his Best in Group under Mrs Amanda Everson (Qld) - pictured.
Fleur has also had an amazing start to the year. In January we travelled to Melbourne for the Australia Day International series of shows. These shows have a full panel of international judges and are amongst Australia's largest single day all-breeds shows. Fleur took two large challenges (and converted one to Runner-up Best of Breed) and one Reserve Challenge, all from the puppy class. I couldn't have been prouder of her.
Fleur also attained her Australian Champion title this year and did it in style by taking out Best Junior in Group 5. This was the day Benni won Best in Group, so it was a pretty awesome day!
